Andrew Kennedy
Solar developer and operating executiveAndrew Kennedy is an experienced developer of solar energy assets in the Northeast United States and a seasoned operational manager. Since 2011, Andrew has self-developed 10 MWs of solar assets in Massachusetts and 5.4 MWs in New Jersey, with more than $40 million of total funds deployed.
Andrew advanced from an internship at ACE Limited to Assistant Vice President with Chubb Group Limited after the ACE-Chubb merger. While working with Chubb and developing solar assets, he has been recognized as a renewable energy thought leader, including serving as a speaker and educator for the Congressional Solar Caucus.
He has also served as an adjunct professor at Drexel University, teaching sustainability and renewable development in the LeBow College of Business. Andrew holds a degree in Economics from Washington College, a Master’s in Finance from Drexel University, and an MBA from Drexel University. He also holds the Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter designation and a real estate license in Pennsylvania.
Timothy Gaarn
Real estate development and recovery-zone operatorTimothy Gaarn is a 25-year veteran of the real estate development industry. Over the past seven years, he has expanded his managerial experience to include government contracting in disaster recovery zones.
Tim has developed 500 multifamily apartments with a value greater than $100 million in the San Antonio and San Marcos, Texas areas, with partners including DeBartolo Development of Tampa, Florida. His role included oversight during acquisition, development, zoning and variance work, and permitting, while DeBartolo provided construction management expertise and project financing.
Tim also demonstrated exceptional management ability in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria. Following a contract award in early December, he helped hire more than 100 engineers on the island within one week, despite severe power, communication, and internet access constraints. He holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Maryland.
Jeffrey Keswin
Founder, CEO, and investment managerJeffrey Keswin is the Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Managing Partner of Lyrical Partners. Lyrical Partners and its affiliates invest in and manage private equity, real estate, traditional equity, and hedge funds.
Jeff is a serial entrepreneur whose investment career has included building and scaling a broad collection of businesses. His investment approach emphasizes uncommon management teams and companies with the potential for substantial growth.
Jeff graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania’s Management & Technology Program in 1990, earning a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School and a Bachelor of Applied Science from the School of Engineering. He is also Chief Executive Officer of Lyrical Asset Management, which he co-founded with Andrew Wellington.
Ted Gage
Investment, finance, and operations executiveTed Gage is a private and public equity investment executive with 35 years of experience in accounting services, transaction execution, and portfolio company management.
Ted is currently the Chief Financial Officer of Lyrical Partners, LP and Lyrical Asset Management, LP, where he maintains overall responsibility for accounting, financial reporting, human resources, and other administrative functions. He also negotiates, executes, structures, and manages a portfolio of private equity investments made on behalf of Lyrical Partners founder Jeffrey Keswin.
Before joining Lyrical, Ted was a founding member and director of Vulcan Capital, the private investment vehicle for the family office of Microsoft co-founder Paul G. Allen. He also spent 12 years with Deloitte, primarily in the Merger and Acquisition Services Group, and began his career in Deloitte’s audit practice. Ted received a Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics from Lehigh University in 1991.
